This position is responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Monitors and supports cybersecurity operations for malicious activity. Determines appropriate response action(s) to an incident, following common techniques, tactics, and procedures. Analyzes and reports cybersecurity threats as well as assists in deterring, identifying, monitoring, investigating, and analyzing computer network intrusions. Minimum Qualifications: •Working knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of enterprise applications, networks, and systems. Cyber security analysis and reporting knowledge normally acquired through a bachelor’s degree Information Security, Information Technology, or related field; or
•Two to six years of experience in the cyber security field analyzing, investigating, and reporting.
•Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.
•May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license. Key Skills & Competencies •Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
•Familiar with intrusion detection systems, virus and malware behavior and intrusion response methodologies
•Knowledge and/or experience in security concepts across a broad range of IT areas including vulnerability assessment, data communications, patch management, network design, and operating systems.
•Basic understanding of system administration, mainly Windows/Linux/Unix.
•Experience with:
oTCP/IP communications and knowledge of how common protocols and applications work at the network level.
oCommon Endpoint Protection, including AV and ATP solutions.
oInvestigating security alerts, logs, and raw data to determine if an event is a false positive or legitimate security concern.
•Analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all company information.
•Proficient listening, verbal, and written communications skills.
•Ability to establish and maintain effective relations with others.
•Strong written and oral communication skills. Job Responsibilites 1.Monitors cybersecurity tools for attacks, intrusions and unusual or unauthorized activity.
2.Investigates cybersecurity incidents and provides incident response analysis.
3.Generates analysis reports for both technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
4.Researches and evaluates current and emerging cybersecurity threats and ways to manage them.
5.Analyzes performance of cybersecurity processes and technologies and provides recommendations for continuous improvement.
6.Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation with the cybersecurity team.
7.Keeps abreast of emerging technologies related to assigned areas of responsibility and seeks ways to improve mitigation of threats.
8.Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
