Position Overview:
As an integral part of our engineering team, you will prioritize safety in all aspects of your work. We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer or SCADA Engineer to enhance our Advanced Electric Distribution Management System (ADM) for a mid-sized utility organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, support, and maintain the Electric Distribution SCADA (DSCADA), ADM, and Outage Management System (OMS) along with associated systems.
  • Oversee system configuration, database management, and display updates.
  • Diagnose and resolve system-related issues effectively.
  • Support and comprehend the communication infrastructure of DSCADA.

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineer I:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
Engineer II:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and two years of relevant work experience.
Engineer Sr:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and seven years of progressively responsible experience in the energy sector, particularly in utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design, and project management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior engineering experience in electric utilities, particularly with SCADA systems.
  • Possession of an EI (Engineering Intern) or EIT (Engineering in Training) Certificate.
  • For Senior level: Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Engineer I: Apply basic engineering techniques for entry-level tasks with supervision.
  • Engineer II: Utilize standard engineering methods to address problems with moderate guidance.
  • Engineer Sr: Employ a wide range of engineering skills, lead projects, and mentor junior engineers.

Additional Requirements:
Ability to apply engineering principles to the design and development of electric utility systems. Proficiency in SCADA, RTU configurations, and communication systems is essential. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are required. Effective interaction with staff, management, and field personnel is crucial. Candidates must take all necessary precautions to safeguard networks, devices, programs, and data from cyber threats. A valid driver's license is required, along with moderate travel (25%). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and no sponsorships will be considered. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are mandatory.
