Position Overview:
As a key contributor, you will prioritize safety in all aspects of your work while focusing on the advancement of our Electric Distribution Management System (ADM) for a utility organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, support, and maintain the Electric Distribution SCADA (DSCADA), ADM, and Outage Management System (OMS) along with associated systems.
  • Oversee system configuration, including database and display updates and ongoing maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve system-related issues effectively.
  • Support and possess a comprehensive understanding of the DSCADA communication infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineer I:
($69,380 - $86,730)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline is required.

Engineer II:
($79,760 - $99,700)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline along with two years of relevant work experience is required.

Engineer Sr:
($111,240 - $139,050)
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline and seven years of progressively responsible experience in the energy sector, specifically in utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design, and project management is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior engineering experience in electric utility, particularly with SCADA systems.
  • Possession of an EI (Engineering Intern) or EIT (Engineering in Training) Certificate.
  • For Senior level: Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Engineer I: Apply fundamental engineering techniques for entry-level tasks with oversight from senior staff.
  • Engineer II: Utilize standard engineering methods and techniques to address challenges, with moderate guidance provided.
  • Engineer Sr: Employ a wide range of engineering skills and techniques, lead projects, and mentor junior engineers.

Additional Requirements:
Ability to apply engineering principles to the design and development of electric utility systems. Proficiency in SCADA, RTU configurations, and communication systems is essential. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are necessary. Effective interaction with staff, management, and field personnel is required. Must take all necessary precautions to safeguard networks, devices, programs, and data from cyber threats. A valid driver's license is required, along with moderate travel expectations (25%). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorships are not available. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are mandatory.
