Position Overview:
As an integral part of our engineering team, you will prioritize safety in all aspects of your work. We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer or SCADA Engineer to enhance our Advanced Electric Distribution Management System (ADM) for a utility company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, support, and maintain the Electric Distribution SCADA (DSCADA), ADM, and Outage Management System (OMS) along with associated systems.
  • Manage system configuration, database updates, and display maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve system-related issues.
  • Understand and support the communication infrastructure of DSCADA.

Minimum Qualifications:
Engineer I:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline.
Engineer II:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; plus two years of relevant work experience.
Engineer Sr:
A Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline; and seven years of progressively responsible experience in the energy sector, particularly in utility electric and gas operations, maintenance, design, and project management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior engineering experience in electric utilities, particularly with SCADA systems.
  • Possession of an EI (Engineering Intern) or EIT (Engineering in Training) Certificate.
  • For Senior level: Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation.

Job Responsibilities:
Engineer I: Utilize basic engineering techniques for entry-level tasks under supervision.
Engineer II: Apply standard engineering methods to solve problems with moderate guidance; work is reviewed at a high level.
Engineer Sr: Employ a wide range of engineering skills, lead projects, and provide direction to junior engineers.

Additional Requirements:
Ability to apply engineering principles in the development and design of electric utility systems. Proficiency in SCADA, RTU configurations, and communication systems is essential. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are required. Effective interaction with staff, management, and field personnel is crucial. Candidates must take necessary precautions to safeguard networks, devices, programs, and data from cyber threats. A valid driver's license is required, along with moderate travel (25%). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and no sponsorships will be considered. Pre-employment drug testing and background checks are mandatory.
