Summary

Perform material testing services for concrete and asphalt at producer plants in accordance with established testing methods and standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

Test construction materials such as concrete and asphalt for quality control/quality assurance in material plants Read construction documents and specifications and correctly interpret test results Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with the appropriate standards Turn in field data records and completed reports for each project daily Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details Complete continuing education and preparation for additional certifications

Qualifications and Skills

High School Diploma required Desirable Certifications for this position are ACI Grade 1 Concrete, NYCMA QC/QA Certification; CME will provide full support in obtaining these certifications if do not currently possess Possess ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license Must possess reliable transportation and current/required automotive insurance coverage

Compensation: $20 - 25/hour
