William Charles Construction, a leading heavy civil construction company, is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Superintendent to join their team in Springfield, IL. As a key member of the construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of bridges and other infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend pre-job meetings and review project scopes with the Project Manager and Area Manager
• Set up job sites and ensure all necessary equipment and materials are on site
• Communicate effectively with IDOT, inspectors, subcontractors, and owners to ensure project success
• Supervise on-site employees and ensure all work is completed according to specifications
• Manage local union relationships and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies
• Complete daily timesheets, safe cards, and other required paperwork
• Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule and verify utility locates before excavation

Requirements:

• Minimum GED or High School Diploma
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Bridge Superintendent or related field
