Senior Construction Engineering Specialist

Harrison Consulting Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Construction Engineering Specialist to join our team in Rochester Hills. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify potential issues.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of underground utilities, road, and bridge items, and report discrepancies to the Project Engineer.
  • Ensure work is compliant with plans, contractor submittals, and QA/QC practices.
  • Measure, calculate, and determine quantities of assigned work and/or installed materials.
  • Verify that installed materials meet specifications and testing requirements.
  • Prepare Daily Inspector's Reports and review other reports.

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Civil Technology required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of construction/inspection experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in bridge/roadway construction inspection.
  • Experience working on Michigan construction projects.
  • MDOT certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Fieldbook, and Microsoft Office.
