As a U.S. Mail contractor, the company was privileged to be awarded three times the "Eagle Spirit Award" from the USPS for "Outstanding Management of Time Sensitive Transportation." The Heavy-Duty Trucking magazine acknowledged AJR Trucking as one of “HDT’s 2022 Top Green Fleets” leading the green revolution in the U.S. trucking industry. AJR Trucking was honored with USPS two top awards at the National Postal Forum (NPF) in May 2023: 2022 Supplier Excellence Award and 2023 Transportation Partner of the Year Award. Job Summary:The Recruiter will seek prospective drivers to optimize the hiring process and meet employment needs. You will follow leads to pre-qualify individuals for a position and screen them before they formally apply for an opportunity. To be successful in this role, candidates must be computer savvy and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to triage and prioritize projects and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound calls, over 50 calls daily.
  • Manage Auto Insurance coverage eligibility.
  • Manage the internal orientation process and file for every new hire.
  • Follow up by phone with each candidate in the hiring process to encourage completion of pending HR and Safety tasks.
  • When available leads are low, revisit existing and eligible pipeline candidates.
  • Coordinate road tests with candidates and company personnel.
  • Inquire Safety Dept to conduct drug tests in a timely manner for drivers who pass the road test.
  • Manage ad posting process and tools.
  • Regularly pursue and update open driver needs.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Manager.

Required Skills:
  • Experience with recruiting preferred, not required.
  • Experience in Transportation Industry preferred.
  • Minimum of 30 WPM.
  • Outlook, Excel experience required.

Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or GED is required and a degree in a relevant field preferred

Pay: 
  • The pay is based on experience, ($22.00-$23.00/hour) and will be discussed during an in-person interview
