Assistant Estimator

Cedar Park Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Estimator for an immediate opening.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and update the project schedule weekly, addressing changes or delays independently or with the Estimator/team leader.
  • Maintain regular, professional communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and staff to keep them informed.
  • Schedule and oversee in-house personnel for projects and updates.
  • Select suppliers for materials, equipment, and project supplies based on capabilities, schedule, and cost. Follow up to ensure materials meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure they meet schedule and project standards.
  • Manage the construction budget to complete the project on or under budget with the Estimator's help.
  • Conduct pre-construction and subcontractor meetings, and manage project correspondence.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • Commercial general construction: 1-2 years (Required)
  • 1 year estimating experience (Required)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, self-started capability, and desire to grow.
  • Proficiency in computerized estimated programs, like Procore, sage, Excel and various other platforms.
  • Should have some experience with some public projects.
