Project Packaging Assistant CEEMEA Location: Athens, Greece Overall role

The role is responsible for ensuring packaging projects are started and executed in a clear, precise, and timely fashion. The Packaging Assistant must be very detailed, organized, and able to meet deadlines. The position will report to the Packaging Coordinator CEEMEA/ NEDM and it will be required to work closely with marketing, regulatory, sales, R&D, logistics and artwork development team.

Responsibilities The Packaging Assistant is responsible for organizing and monitoring administrative, product, and project related tasks linked to Packaging Development. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, and reviewing new artworks, monitoring packaging processes, closely follow up stakeholder activities, suggesting and implementing organizational improvements, and prioritizing and preparing packaging requests projects from local marketing.

Some of the tasks are as follows:

  • Prepare and gather documentation to begin package development and track progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Contact suppliers and / or vendors to collect and gather all necessary package and product specifications, printing information, limitations, etc.
  • Follow up on pending information from suppliers and / or printers, i.e. missing specification information, cost estimate agreements, feedback on routing of proofs, etc.
  • Follow up with artwork development team that the "File to prnter" (FTP) dates are met and support if any delays or issues.
  • Careful proofing of all package design proofs in our internal system (Gclips)
  • Liaise with regulatory department to ensure compliance of current packaging regulations for the region.
  • Work with marketing to make sure all current packaging designs are used in ads and trade communications are up-to date.
  • Keep a detailed track of stickered SKUs and ensure sticker creation and implementation.
  • Ensure communication of on-going projects and implementation timelines to our external distributors Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role preferably with a multinational/FMCG company
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up environment.
