Sentinel Blue is looking for a Managed Services Project Manager to join our Operations team. This role is for an experienced IT Project Manager with strong organization and customer service skills. Our ideal person for this role is a natural communicator, empathetic, and highly organized. The ideal candidate is also proficient with the requirements of CMMC Level 2 and NIST SP 800-171 Rev 2. This role is primarily responsible managing the onboarding of new clients, driving the security remediation projects, and coordinating activity by all parties (internal and external). The Managed Services Project Manager supports a broad range of tasks including verifying completion of engineering tasks, supporting the generation of compliance documentation, client education of compliance responsibilities, and 3rd party vendor coordination. This role will primarily collaborate with the Engineering Team, the Operations team, the CTO, and the Deputy CISO.

This is a full-time position that is fully remote. Schedule and hours are flexible. Due to the nature of our work, you must be a U.S. citizen with eligibility for a clearance. No exceptions.

A day in the Managed Services Project Manager role:

The Managed Services Project Manager starts the day with a standup call/check-in with the Operations team. Then they will continue to drive tasks with team members to ensure adherence to project schedule. The Project Manager will join conversations throughout the day with relevant stakeholders for regularly scheduled client meetings and ad hoc meetings addressing anything from unique engineering needs to project roadblocks to licensing and troubleshooting needs with 3rd party vendors and Cloud Service Providers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop tailored onboarding project schedules based each client's unique system design and existing policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the daily management of the project schedule to ensure tasks are completed on schedule, milestones are being met, and projects are completed on-time and on budget.
  • Support the development of core security program elements, including processes and policies.
  • Support the collection of objective evidence for CMMC certification assessments.
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors and Cloud Service Providers.
  • Review and update the onboarding project schedule template periodically to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of processes.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship - by nature of our work with the defense industry, all employees must be eligible for a Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology (IT) Project Management.
  • Exceptional ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of IT network design, cloud computing concepts, and cloud security concepts.
  • Strong, independent drive and accountability.
  • Strong communication skills. Must be able to tactfully handle technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multi-client environment - experience in managed services is highly desired.
  • Experience with Azure Government and Microsoft 365 GCC High is highly desired.
  • Cybersecurity Project experience is highly desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Exposure to compliance requirements for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base (i.e., CMMC, DFARS, NIST SP 800-171) or other industry compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, CIS Controls).
