Job Description

*This is a 6 month contract position approx. 9/1-12/31. 

The AD, Media (Paid Social) - Contract position serves as a senior media expert, providing departmental or capability leadership and increasing visibility of the media practice while also demonstrating leadership on key clients. This person manages a team of 3-4 and is responsible for ensuring media strategies and deliverables meet or exceed the strategic requirements of the client, add value, and meet Razorfish’s quality standards. He/she also manages, motivates and mentors media staff in the development and execution of digital media initiatives and drives new business efforts. Duties may also include partnering with other key agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Experience:

Required:  Proficiency in Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, and Pinterest. Preferred:  Experience with Reddit, Nextdoor, or LinkedIn. Certifications:  Meta Blueprint certification and other platform-specific certifications are highly desirable.

Client Communication and Presentation Skills:

Lead day-to-day client relationships. Collaborate cross-functionally with management and client teams.

Budget Management:

Manage budgets across platforms and with integral teams, accommodating frequent budget shifts. Systems:  Proficiency in budget management systems such as Prisma is essential. Billing:  Experience in billing processes is required. Excel:  Advanced skills in using Excel pivot tables, calculated fields, and formulas.

Reporting:

Conduct internal reporting reviews and provide actionable insights on current performance. Data Handling:  Expertise in data extraction and pivoting from platforms. Preferred:  Experience with Tableau is advantageous.

Attention to Detail:

Execute comprehensive campaign QA to ensure the accuracy and quality of all team outputs. Maintain stringent quality assurance standards across all deliverables.

Strategic Thought Leadership:

Offer strategic POV support as needed, particularly during plan adjustments.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in the development and implementation of social media planning and buying within the advertising industry Has managed a strategic account or several smaller accounts ($20MM - $30MM+) Has managed three or more direct reports Hands-on-keyboard experience within all major Social Platforms (i.e. Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, Pinterest and X).
