Customer Service Associate (Project Position) Hours: 7:50AM-4:50PM, Monday-Friday--$15.00 per hour

This entry-level role involves:
  • Answering phones and providing friendly customer service.
  • Performing preliminary evaluations of assessment status and printing duplicate receipts.
  • Determining receipt needs for vehicle licensing.
  • Performing various clerical tasks such as typing labels, filing money orders, and sending statements.
  • Verifying residency information and assisting military personnel with tax waivers.
  • Researching, updating, and maintaining taxpayer accounts and accurate mailing addresses.
  • Communicating with License Bureau staff to ensure accurate vehicle titling and licensing.
  • Handling customer questions, complaints, and providing guidance to temporary employees.
  • Processing mail and conducting research on tax records and internet applications.
  • Aiding title and mortgage companies in finding real estate parcel numbers and legal descriptions.
  • Fostering a positive and friendly work environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer savvy with the ability to navigate various online applications
  • Ability to complete a 2-3 month assignment
  • Ability to speak, read, write and communicate in English
Preferred Skill:
  • One year of experience in cashiering, bookkeeping, customer service, or related fields
  • Vocational/technical training in bookkeeping
  • Associate degree in Accounting preferred but not required
Physical and Mental Abilities:
  • Analytical skills to categorize and determine relationships within data
  • Ability to perform tasks involving some standardized work with creative and decisive judgment
  • Proficient with office equipment such as a desktop computer, telephone, and photocopier
  • Physical ability to perform light effort tasks, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and prolonged standing and data entry
