Position Overview: Legal Soft is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for supporting the Controller in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Controller in managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations.- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment.
- Assist in managing audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the legal industry or related field is a plus.
