JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER to provide advice, coaching, counsel and problem-solving to clinical operation teams across DHIP. The HR Partner will act as a central figure to provide human resources solutions for specified client groups. The HR Partner will be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships across client groups as well as within Human Resources and Administration.

JOB DUTIES:  

Develop a core understanding of the vision, strategic direction, and business objectives of DHIP to ensure effective HR alignment and support. Conduct regular meetings with respective client groups to keep them informed of HR initiatives, processes, policies, and resources. Participate in onboarding of new employees to ensure timely and optimal engagement and productivity, as well as conduct off-boarding activities. Provide advice and counsel to management and employees regarding policy interpretation, performance management, disciplinary action, compensation, leaves of absence, employee relations, and other HR-related matters. Collaborate with colleagues in Duke Staff & Labor Relations, compliance, and specialized areas of HR (e.g., recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits, and training and development) to facilitate efficient and effective support for the organization. Analyze data, trends, and metrics to inform business decisions and identify strategic solutions. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Escalate organizational issues or challenges; prepare reports, analyses and other written communication, as necessary or requested. Participate in the implementation of organization-wide HR projects (e.g., employee engagement surveys, multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity programs, etc.). Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Candidate must minimally possess a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or equivalent. Work requires two years of business, administrative and/or supervisory experience with exposure to supervisory or human resource policies and practices related to employee relations. A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience. PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP Certification preferred

The schedule for this position is day shifts.
