JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the HR Manager, the Team Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating team engagement activities and events for the purpose of attracting, engaging, and retaining capable talent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, organize, and implement special events designed to engage team members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching and securing appropriate meeting venues
  • Negotiating and scheduling catering, entertainment, and other vendors
  • Developing schedules, to include identifying keynote and breakout session speakers as needed
  • Developing slides, handouts, or other visual assets, as appropriate
  • Ordering awards and/or give-away items
  • Developing and organizing participant materials
  • Developing and organizing speaker materials and gifts
  • Identifying and managing internal volunteers to help with execution of the event
  • Planning and hosting activities to keep team members engaged throughout the event
  • Working collaboratively with Marketing to develop engaging videos or other creative assets
  • Developing and implementing communication plans regarding the event
  • Decorating and other setup/clean up responsibilities

This position may also be responsible for providing organizational support and/or communication for other assigned company events (i.e. recruiting events, practice events, training events, Free Dental Days, etc.)

Plan, organize, and manage the Casual for a Cause program supporting community organizations.

Cultivate and develop engaging content for the recruitment of new team members. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Engage with team members to proactively mine for content, testimonials, and compelling stories about why they continue to choose FDH
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop content for recruitment (social medial, digital and/or print)
  • Recommend and implement creative ways to leverage the social networks of existing FDH employees to assist with recruitment and to provide greater employer brand exposure.
  • Champion the Employee Referral Program
  • Research "Best Place to Work" awards. Lead application efforts and feature results. This includes but is not limited to administering the Top Workplaces survey to employees at least annually and utilizing the Energage platform to maximize available culture assets.

Plan, organize, and implement team member appreciation and recognition activities.

Develop and implement interactive workshop(s) and activities for employees designed to immerse them into the FDH mission, core values, service expectations, etc. This includes but is not limited to workshops for new practices transitioning to FDH as well as company-wide culture initiatives.

Produce monthly Employee Newsletters and coordinate other timely internal announcements.

Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to representing FDH at recruiting or other company-sponsored events.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of related experience and/or training may be considered.
  • 2+ years related experience, including graphic design, team engagement, event management, and/or recruiting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to model and champion FDH mission, values, and expectations.
  • Expertise in and a passion for employee engagement, communications, technology, and social media.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Excellent communication and influencing skills to cultivate and maintain positive relationships across all levels and locations. Sensitive to cultural diversity. Applies discernment in the handling of sensitive information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and budget management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365, social media channels, Constant Contact, and Canva.
  • Willingness to travel to all FDH locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
