JOB SUMMARY:

Under supervision of the HR Manager, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator will be responsible for actively recruiting, engaging, and onboarding qualified talent to support company operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish and implement long-term recruitment strategies to proactively identify and build relationships for a talent pipeline. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Identify new and seasoned dental assistants and hygienists throughout the dental community and maintain a directory of prospective talent.
  • Personally contact and follow up with prospects to build positive relationships between them and FDH.
  • Convey the value of FDH culture and benefits as an employer of choice in the dental community.
  • Proactively keep prospective candidates informed of openings that may be of interest.
  • Proactively engage and build relationships with dental program faculty and staff across the FDH footprint.
  • Work closely with the HR team to ensure qualified candidates from all sources receive timely contact.
  • Represent FDH at recruiting or other company-sponsored events.
  • Report on recruitment efforts, as directed or requested.

Create and maintain current job listings. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with managers to identify and draft job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Post specific job opportunities in iSolved Hire and on other advertising platforms, as appropriate.
  • Ensure referral bonus opportunities are tagged and accurate for job postings.
  • Refresh and/or sponsor job postings as needed to source additional applicants for hard-to-fill positions.
  • Conduct resume searches and contact potential applicants directly to expedite staffing.

Screen applications and advance qualified candidates. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with managers to understand any required and/or preferred qualifications, interview scheduling preferences, etc. on a per position basis.
  • Review applications daily and contact qualified candidates immediately for phone interviews.
  • Conduct phone interviews and schedule in-person interviews with appropriate leaders.
  • Ensure applicants from all sources are added to the appropriate job in iSolved Hire and accurate tags are added for future searching. Collaborate with other team members to ensure distribution lists are updated with new applicant information.
  • Conduct reference checks, as requested.


Responsible for providing clear and current updates to all stakeholders regarding efforts to fill current job openings. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Update the HR Positions Planner throughout each day as updates occur.
  • Update iSolved Hire with status updates and/or notes.
  • Upload phone screening forms to iSolved Hire.
  • Provide email and/or report updates, as appropriate.


Facilitate orientation sessions (in-person or virtual) with new employees and follow up to ensure their successful onboarding. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Order and prepare new hire gifts.
  • Utilize new hire checklists to ensure consistency and accuracy in onboarding and data entry processes.
  • Process I-9, E-Verify, New Hire reporting with accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist new hire with FDH accesses provided by IT.
  • Ensure new hire receives uniforms and uniform link.
  • Follow up with new hires after orientation for continuous process improvement.
  • May serve as a back-up to HR Manager for onboarding new/transitioning practices.
  • Prepare acquisition packets and/or new hire packets, as directed.
  • Ensure new employee information is accurately processed and stored in electronic and physical files, as appropriate.

Manage uniform organization & notifies staff of annual order.


Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees; refer complex questions as appropriate.


Additional or different duties may be assigned occasionally at employer's discretion. Cross-training in other areas within the department and support for large projects/events may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of related experience and/or training may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources, to include full-cycle recruitment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to model and champion FDH mission, values, and expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation tactics.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent communication and influencing skills to cultivate and maintain positive relationships. Sensitive to cultural diversity. Applies discernment in the handling of confidential information.
  • Forward-thinking with excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Microsoft 365 applications, human resource information systems (HRIS), and applicant-tracking software.
  • Willingness to travel to all FDH locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
