Payroll Specialist

Work closely with Client’s Payroll Partner to ensure accurate and timely processing of all key payroll elements (including base pay, leave of absence and sick leave, health and welfare, statutory and supplemental benefits, payroll taxes, imputed income, W2's/T-4s and equity compensation).

Work closely with internal partners (HR, Comp and Benefits, Stock Administration etc.) to provide Client employees with a first-class payroll service.

Drive the timely resolution of internal & external stakeholder queries.

Perform timely and accurate fiscal close procedures, including payroll journal entries and reconciliations.

Work with the wider Finance team to resolve any queries.

Ensure compliance with payroll internal controls.

Keep updated on federal, state, and local payroll related regulations.

Manage Internal and External Audit payroll related audit requests.

Act as a key business partner with Client’s HRIS team to resolve payroll related system issues.

Identify potential process improvements to remove manual workflows.

Assist other team members and engage with APJ and EMEA Payroll teams as required.


For consideration, you must bring the following skills, experience and behaviors to our team:

5+ years’ experience in a similar role.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent Payroll related qualification.

Knowledge in labor/payroll tax laws and regulations

Ability to work in a fast paced, transaction based environment and adhere to tight deadlines.

Proven ability to juggle many different tasks simultaneously, prioritizing and organizing work to consistently meet objectives and deadlines

Possess a strong attention to detail.

High proficiency in Excel/ Google Workspace/ HRIS tools: ability to navigate, analyze and present data accurately and completely.

Hands-on, proactive, self-starter.

Process improvement mind-set.

Excellent communicator: ability to effectively present information and respond to stakeholder queries.

Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment where adaptability is key.
