What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) is seeking a detail oriented, goal focused manager to lead the Hot Section Module Center – North: Military Combustor and Large Machining department.

The role requires you to lead a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing activities are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering, project management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of Insourcing and capital projects. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence. Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of manufacturing objectives with overall company goals. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Use Lean Manufacturing and CORE operating principles to drive process optimization. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing engineering team. Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of engineering experience, or an advanced degree in engineering and 7+ years of engineering experience Degree from ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited schools. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering 10 years of experience working in the Aerospace Industry in a manufacturing environment Experience in sheet metal fabrication Process certification skillset (6 sigma), lean manufacturing or similar skillset Supervisory experience with engineering staff

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
