We are seeking a  Regional Account Manager who will own and drive sales for targeted and new accounts in a defined territory. The Regional Account Manager will develop and manage existing and new customer relationships and partner closely with Operations and other internal business units to drive revenue growth through identification and development of business opportunities.

Responsibilities

Drive business initiatives and develop go-to-market strategies and solutions to ensure business growth within defined region. Act as customer relations manager within the assigned region.  Drive Sales to meet budget expectations within assigned region. Collaborate with customers to understand their business needs and objectives and be viewed as a true partner by our customers.  Develop and maintain consistent prospects and customer communications. Ensure customer expectations are exceeded. Address operational issues that may arise in a professional manner.  Work directly with customers, strategic vendors, industry leaders, and internal team to formulate and deliver the best strategic direction for revenue growth. Respond to and manage requests for proposal (RFP) opportunities as applicable. Project financial estimates for potential deals and proposals in compliance with CCI policies and procedures. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations. Maintain a complete understanding of all CCI services (field, office, software, technology, etc.). Work with operations to develop pricing strategies. Attain financial goals while operating within the forecasted budget. Coordinate sales efforts with CCI sales staff and project stakeholders. Create and promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as related to employees, public and the internal and external customers. This includes ensuring that the service and quality provided to our customers is superior to that of our competition. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience in a Sales/Business Development role within the Utility Engineering and Construction field.  3 years of direct experience in Telecom outside plant (OSP) Engineering preferred. Proven relationships within the telecom industry are preferred. Prior management experience preferred. Proficiency in selling services related to OSP (outside plant) fiber optic networks, including field data collection, permitting (both aerial and underground), network design (FTTx and HFC), fiber splicing, and coax splicing for HFC upgrades. Strategic thought leader with a depth of experience in driving sales across a broad set of technologies.  Must have proven success as an ambitious “hunter”.  Tenacity, boldness, assertiveness and a "will to win" in dealing with highly competitive situations.  Must have a successful track record leading a large territory, strategic account planning, partner development, forecasting, and communicating and presenting business solutions.  Experience managing multiple projects and multiple customers. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and a variety of web-based software applications. Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others. Ability to interact with colleagues, vendors, and customers/clients of all demographics and professional skill levels.  Proven ability to be self-motivated, manage time, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Understanding of business finance.  The ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company vision, and exemplify CCI leadership behaviors.

Shift  is full-time Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Additional Information:

Must have a valid driver’s license and with an acceptable driving record. Must be willing to travel up to 75% within assigned region. Mileage reimbursement provided. Base salary plus commission. Compensation: base salary range 90k-120k plus commission.
