Behavioral Support Personnel

To support teachers, instructional aides, and administrators working with students with behavior needs. Model and provide practical training practices and techniques (e.g., measurements, assessments, behavior reduction, visual supports, documentation, and reporting) and written follow-up guidance.

 Responsibilities

Collecting behavior data, assessing needs for behavior support, implementing behavior reduction techniques, reporting and documenting, maintaining Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification, and participating in Individualized Education Program meetings as needed. BSPs will assist with gathering data for functional behavioral assessments, behavior intervention plans, and behavior support plans (for students not identified as having a disability). BSPs will assist with drafting a Plan for Independence for students with additional educational assistance services. The District Behavior Specialist will oversee the work of BSPs and will collaborate with principals to determine where the needs for BSP support are warranted. BSPs will maintain a Google Calendar as a weekly log of services shared with the Behavior Specialist.

 Experience/Qualifications

HS Diploma, 60 hours college or Parapro Assessment, CPI trained/willing to complete training.

 Salary Range

Salary range from $16.67 - $25.39 per hour (based on the candidate's work history).180 days per year. 7.5 hours per day
