Supporting Positive Behavior: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Soliant Education (Napa Valley Area)

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in the Napa Valley area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students by providing individualized support based on their IEPs.

What You'll Do:

  • Work one-on-one with students with challenging behaviors to implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to develop and implement effective behavior plans that target specific behavioral goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles, to promote positive behavior change and skill development.
  • Collect and record data on student behavior to monitor progress and inform adjustments to behavior plans as needed.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and teach students replacement behaviors to promote social-emotional learning and successful interactions in the classroom and school environment.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students, promoting self-esteem and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure a collaborative approach to supporting students.
  • Stay current on best practices in behavior intervention and ABA principles through professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
  • Prior experience working with children with challenging behaviors in a school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and positive behavior intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude to effectively support students with diverse needs.
  • Proficiency in data collection and record-keeping.
  • A passion for helping students overcome behavioral challenges and achieve academic and social success.
