Overview
The position reports to the Program Director and works under the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations, also working collaboratively with other program staff and faculty. This individual supervises all operations to support the design, development, and implementation of the Physician Assistant program. This includes leading a team of support staff, in close collaboration with faculty, to operationalize functions crucial for delivering a high-quality curriculum; devising and executing strategies for program improvements; supervising support staff, ensuring adherence to accreditation standards with active involvement in accreditation-related reporting activities; supervising the overall quality of educational programs and preparing critical reports for both internal and external agencies; oversight of policies and procedures governing the Physician Assistant program curriculum.
Responsibilities
Lead a team comprised of support staff and other administrative personnel in close collaboration with faculty to operationalize functions crucial for delivering a high-quality curriculum. Supervise adherence to accreditation standards. Contribute to activities related to the accreditation process. Prepare reports and provide critical information about the overall quality of the educational programs to internal and external agencies. Monitor and manage the program curriculum's policies and procedures, guaranteeing precision. Manage formal and informal communication processes. Manage special curricular initiatives from inception to completion, which requires independent research and the proposal of resolutions or conclusions. Create and envision programmatic initiatives and communication strategies. Provide student support as needed. Lead the comprehensive management of exempt and non-exempt employees, overseeing the entire spectrum of functions, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations under the direction of the Program Director and Vice President of PA Operations. Direct and implement solutions to problems that are routine to complex and affect multiple functional areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience
Master's degree in a health-related, educational, or business field required. Previous management and leadership experience preferred. Requires ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with frequent high levels of urgency or sensitivity. Must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with colleagues in a team environment Good interpersonal skills are required, both written and oral.Knowledge/ Skills/ Abiliities
Knowledge of Canvas, EXXAT, and ExamSoft is recommended. Well-developed managerial, decision-making, planning, organizational, problem-resolution, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to manage people and inspire a high level of commitment and performance. Excellent analytical and project management skills. Ability to understand and articulate policies and plans clearly and identify and solve complex problems affecting multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build consensus, and foster teamwork and customer service. Excellent judgment, supported by strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to anticipate changes and proactively manage through change. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookPhysical Demands
