Join Our Team as a Part-Time Youth Sports Program Assistant at the YMCA

Are you passionate about sports and inspiring kids to be active and learn the fundamentals of the game?

We're on the lookout for a dynamic, energetic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Youth Sports Program Assistant at the YMCA

As part of our team, you'll lead and engage school-aged children in various sports activities like basketball, soccer, ball hockey, volleyball, and more You'll have to opportunity to be able a positive role model and inspire the next generation of young athletes in our community.

We're seeking someone who loves working with kids, possesses a basic understanding of multiple sports and their fundamentals, exhibits excellent communication skills, and has a knack for creating an inclusive and supportive environment.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Organize and supervise sports activities for school-aged athletes
  • Create an environment of fun, learning, and sportsmanship
  • Assist in coaching and skill development sessions

Requirements:

  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification or willingness to obtain the certification upon hire
  • Knowledge of various sports and their fundamentals
  • Great communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all athletes, no matter their ability or skill level
  • Dedicated individuals eager to learn and grow, committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all members and guests
