About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University’s Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship Program is a two-year fellowship designed to advance the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates in various areas of industry pharmacy including regulatory affairs, medical information/affairs, patient safety, outcomes research, and many other areas. The program is a collaboration between Northeastern University and biopharmaceutical industry partners.
Our program provides a dynamic academic environment offering fellows the opportunity for a wide breadth of experiences:
Develop teaching skills through participation in our Teaching and Learning Seminar seriesFacilitate small and large group didactic education in partnership with a faculty mentorCreate, present, and publish scholarly research through collaborative industry and university relationshipsEngage with faculty who participate in various interdisciplinaryNetwork with area residents and other Northeastern fellows via professional development programs, teaching seminars, and participation on fellowship committeesIn partnership with Northeastern University, Arvinas, Inc. is offering a two-year Global Medical Affairs PharmD fellowship (remote).

Responsibilities:
The Medical Affairs fellowship at Arvinas will offer an opportunity to develop skillsets within Medical Affairs and prepare you for a career in the biotechnology industry. Throughout the two-year fellowship program, you will develop a deep understanding of assigned disease landscape(s), master product and competitor data, and gain experience across various functions within Medical Affairs. Our program is also designed to expose you to both Global and US focused projects/workstreams, including launch experience.
As a first-year fellow, you will gain hands-on experience across different functions in Medical Affairs based on personal interests and business needs; a sample list can be found below. As a second-year fellow, you will have the opportunity to go deeper into one of those selected concentrations and spend the remainder of your fellowship in that area of interest(s).
Key Medical Affairs concentrations may include:
Scientific CommunicationSample projects: Publication planning, identify data gaps & new publication opportunities, build scientific platform/product lexicon, omnichannel communicationsMedical Strategy:Sample projects: Medical affairs strategic planning + execution, launch readiness, advisory board support, congress strategy, scientific training and educational initiatives
Field Medical Affairs (Medical Science Liaison)Sample projects: Scientific engagement with thought leaders, field territory planning, development of proactive & reactive field medical resources, support of local and national congresses
Health Economics + Outcomes Research (HEOR)Sample projects: Conduct real world evidence studies, observational studies, patient reported outcomes research, and cost effectiveness analyses
Medical Operations/Medical ExcellenceSample projects: Provide strategic & operational support into the medical affairs plans & activities, investigator-sponsored/collaborative research program, medical education grant program, and medical affairs congress planning
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE accredited institution, eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Massachusetts.
Excellent oral and written communication, time management, and leadership skills, ability to work independently and take initiative on a variety of projects at the industry site and Northeastern.
