Responsibilities

Establish institutional trading/underwriting business. Work with institutional sales to facilitate the growth of the municipal sales, trading, underwriting and public finance businesses. Assist in implementing necessary systems to support municipal trading/underwriting. Collaborate with municipal trading to establish trading accounts and street relationships. Evaluate competitive underwriting as a business line. Work closely with Public Finance to execute negotiated new issue transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field experience. Minimum of five years Institutional Municipal Trading/Underwriting experience. Existing end account and street relationships necessary to support new issue and secondary sales and trading businesses. Experience working with public finance bankers on new issue transactions. Solid understanding of broader debt capital markets. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to communicate with all levels of employees, management, internal committees and clients. Relevant FINRA licenses required, or will need to be secured within 120 days of employment.
