Opportunity in Residential Mortgage and Securities Portfolio Management
Join our team at a leading player in the distressed residential mortgage loan industry in the U.S., specializing in securitized products, distressed credit, and whole loans. We are looking for a dedicated associate portfolio manager/trader to help grow and drive success in our residential loan and securities business.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in trading activities for U.S. residential mortgages and securitized products, from bid assessment to securitization.
Collaborate with various teams, including Transaction Management, Finance, Analytics, Asset Management, and the firm's leadership.
Work closely with trading and financing partners to evaluate financing options and capital market executions.
Assist in managing the risk position and portfolio P&L on a daily basis.
Aid in optimizing loan portfolios for sale and securitization.
Prepare reports for review by Senior Management and undertake other assigned duties.
Engage with the Analytics team on infrastructure building for portfolio management.
Support the whole loan transaction management team in overseeing due diligence and closing processes.
Assist in reconciling and processing monthly whole loan servicer remittance tapes.
Evaluate various financing options, including securitized deal execution.
Support day-to-day repo financing for securities and monthly warehouse financing for loans.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, coupled with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience with structured products, specifically residential mortgages, securities, and structuring is preferred.
Proficiency in Intex and Excel is required. Programming skills (e.g. SQL, Python) are advantageous.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and adeptness at managing multiple priorities are essential.
Must be able to work in our Uptown Dallas office.
U.S. work authorization is a must. H1B visa sponsorship is available for full-time employees.
