ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare written proposals and pitch books, make presentations to prospective and existing client base, and manage public finance negotiated underwritings and private placements.
  • Assist other bankers with the goal of increased productivity and profitability.
  • Craft responses to requests for proposals, which may include contacting governmental bodies for discovery of data; analyzing data; and working with analytical team and trading desk on market indications and bond structuring.
  • Analyze credit quality of issuer based on criteria established by the rating agencies and general market conditions and work with analytical team on evaluating the need for bond insurance.
  • Work with bond counsel or underwriter's counsel regarding legal aspects of the financing and determine if the financing conflicts with any legal or regulatory issues.
  • Actively pursue new public finance business and identify marketing and brand recognition opportunities for the department.
  • Adhere to regulatory restrictions in the conduct of business activities
  • Cross-sell other departments when appropriate.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by management.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related of experience
  • Equivalent combination of education, training or experience
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The following registrations will be required within 3 months of employment:
  • SIE - Securities Industry Essentials
  • Series 52 - Municipal Securities Representative
  • Series 63 - Uniform State Law Exam
