Position Summary

Fitness Connection is now hiring for a Sales Manager position. The Sales Manager provides daily, weekly, and monthly direction for our Fitness Consultant team, driving new members to change lives through fitness. The SM must lead by example in creating and maintaining a strong sales culture in his/her club and be a team player who believes in the power of changing lives through fitness..

Sales Managers are part of the club location leadership team and supervise a portion of the hourly teammates. Work hours include weekends, evenings, and early mornings; some travel may be required. Reports directly to the Club Manager.

Your Day to Day Responsibilities

People Leader:

Lead and maintain a high-performing sales team through coaching and accountability. Involved in recruiting, hiring, and promoting Fitness Consultants. Develops and trains new or promoted Fitness Consultants. Identifies and nurtures high potential talents. Consistently recognizes and rewards excellent performance. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback. Maintains strong people practices and takes appropriate actions as needed. Creates sales schedules for efficient labor hour use, pending Club Manager's approval.

Results Driver:

Achieves personal and club revenue goals for memberships and retail. Manages daily sales activities and directs the sales team to meet revenue requirements. Plans and promotes special events. Breaks down and distributes daily sales revenue goals to the sales team. Communicates revenue and production updates to Club Leadership. Ensures adherence to Fitness Connection systems and standards. Provides support for club appearance and maintenance. Ensures consistent retail program execution.

Personal Impact:

Creates and executes proactive sales plans, leads from the front, and adjusts strategies based on real-time results. Generates sales leads through various methods including referrals and formal presentations. Conducts club tours for guests and potential members. Promotes and sells memberships and products effectively. Maintains accurate records of sales activities. Stays updated on company pricing and promotions.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred. External hires should have a minimum of 12 months of related experience with a proven success record, preferably in the fitness industry. Internal promotions require at least six months as a high-performing Fitness Consultant with Fitness Connection. Must have knowledge of the fitness industry and necessary sales skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and adaptable to new technology systems. Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record required. Will undergo a criminal background check as a term of employment. Physical demands include daily standing, walking, sitting, lifting, bending, and reaching. Must be fluent in written and spoken English; Spanish skills are a plus.
