Position Summary

The Nutrition and Family Sciences Department is looking to hire a student who currently qualifies for Federal Work Study Funds. The applicant must be reliable, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be able to work 8 hours a week. Being one of the first faces seen in our office, the applicant must also be able to present themselves with a positive attitude, appropriate attire, and a willingness to help others. Job Duties and Responsibilities The worker will have set daily duties and responsibilities, as well as tasks that will change daily depending on the need of the department. Some of the set daily duties and responsibilities, as well as requirements, include:
* Greeting and answering questions of students and faculty in person and on the telephone.
* Be comfortable being the only one in the office for periods of time.
* Ability to learn and remember procedures.
* Distributing mail and other items in and out of the office.
* Keeping the office, work rooms, and lobby clean and free of clutter. This will include cleaning tasks such as dusting, wiping down surfaces and equipment, refilling supplies, vacuuming, etc…
* Being able to walk around campus in a timely manner and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
* Keeping our copy/supply rooms stocked and ready to use at all times.
* Ability to learn how to use the different department copiers and make needed copies.
* Ability to use a computer and accurately type in data when shown a process.
* Always take initiative to do more than expected.
* Ability to be flexible and willing to complete tasks given.
* Complete a specific daily shut-down routine.
