Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Sr. Technical Program Manager to manage data center infrastructure goals and programs, as well as manage intra-organizational customer relationships. AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in Cloud Computing; this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Central Operations Repair team in the Data Center Community (DCC), your responsibilities will focus on managing data center infrastructure service goals and may also span multiple subject areas within the data center operations space. Business-impacting projects you would be responsible for will enhance data center efficiency through automation and enhanced repair processes. The projects require timely execution with the highest degrees of safety, security, performance, availability and reliability. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated, extremely organized individual with experience in creating methodology and building value at a global scale. The role requires the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge spanning numerous technology subjects and apply this to data center projects, products and operations.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities
- Ownership of highly visible, complex, cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution of data center projects related to AWS network services.
- Accountability for the overall strategy as well as driving teams inside and outside of the organization to deliver.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key owners and stakeholders across teams and organizations.
- Hosting meetings to assemble the right people to achieve the program goals.
- Writing crisp and clear narratives and program status reports, with the ability to communicate across different levels in the organization.
- Being data-driven and using best data to determine program impact ad benefits to customers.

They manage infrastructure projects that enable and optimize hardware repairs and remediations through engagements with (and not limited to): Network teams, Data Center Operations (DCO), development teams, supply chain, and finance.
