ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:  

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for System Administrator Tier III Support candidates who will be responsible for maintaining and operating a computer system and/or network. Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

Prefer candidates with a valid US passport. Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES:  

All candidates will perform the following duties: 

Provide detailed knowledge of deploying information systems, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Object (GPOs), and Domain Name Service (DNS). Provide detailed knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Windows 2008(R2) and Windows Server 2003.  Provide detailed knowledge of system deployment, management, and troubleshooting of messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 products. Provide detailed knowledge of backup technologies specifically Symantec backup exec and NetApp SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP) manager utilities.  Provide knowledge and familiarity with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches. Provide knowledge and familiarity with storage technologies such as Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS). Provide knowledge and familiarity with server performance tuning and monitoring tools. Provide knowledge and familiarity with server configuration and management tools (Microsoft System Center Operations manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)). Provide network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks. Provide technical documentation skills. Provide knowledge and familiarity of action plans for planned and unplanned changes to the network infrastructure. Provide experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools. Provide technical documentation skills. 

SKILLS REQUIRED:  

All candidates will have the following minimum skills: 

Three (3) years of related work experience working with Windows 2003 server and Exchange 2003 systems administration. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.  Work well independently or as a member of a team environment  Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, OR an Associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience. 

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.  Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position. 

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  

All candidates will have one (1) of the following required certification(s):

CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate) GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED) GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH) Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
