Practice Manager III

About the Role:
The Practice Manager III is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the operational, administrative, and business functions of large-scale and/or multi-specialty practices. This role requires a high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy in dealing with providers, staff, and patients in a complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Daily Operations: Maintain clinic schedules, develop and implement procedures for patient reception, appointments, and cancellations, and ensure consistently prompt and effective service to patients and visitors.
- Patient Relations: Provide customer service, solve basic patient complaints, and train and supervise staff on customer service skills.
- Provider Relations: Assist providers in managing patient schedules, interact with providers on day-to-day operational issues, and produce and/or review data to track provider activities.
- Supervision: Supervise daily activities of practice staff, ensure thorough orientation and training, and maintain thorough, accurate, and current training materials and programs.
- Performance Review, Counseling & Coaching: Provide regular feedback on employee performance, complete employee evaluations, and establish performance improvement plans.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Process PRC forms, conduct and/or participate in interview processes, and make hiring decisions.
- Facilities Management & Safety Regulations: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, provide staff training, and establish plans for improvement.
- Information Technology: Ensure proper training and certification of staff in use of IT systems and applications, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Health Information Management: Ensure proper training for staff in maintenance of patient privacy and HIPAA requirements.
- Revenue Management: Perform revenue management functions, including developing a system for timely and accurate charge capture, and supervising cash collection activities.
- Budget & Expense Management: Investigate expense variances, provide input into direct expense projections, and maintain purchasing logs.
- Equipment & Furniture: Flag items for repair, report safety issues, and order equipment and maintain office supplies.
- Cleanliness, Appearance, & General Maintenance: Ensure compliance with basic standards, work with facilities management and environmental services, and oversee limited facility renovation projects.
