ROLE AND PURPOSE

Responsible for providing leadership for the Recruitment function of the school district from candidate sourcing to placement. This position is expected to strategically plan and execute a recruitment plan to meet the hiring needs of the district in a timely manner with exemplary candidates.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Certification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred. Emphasis on Human Resources preferred. Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM certification equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years previous experience in Human Resources, corporate recruitment and/or candidate sourcing experience required. Five (5) years of hiring experience as a campus administrator may be substituted for HR or corporate recruitment experience Two (2) years previous experience managing a function and/or people required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Recruitment and Sourcing

Management of the Recruitment and Sourcing team to create and execute new strategies to source candidates for full time Administrators, Teachers, paraprofessionals and auxiliary staff. Ensure external recruitment efforts are being met (Career fairs, expos, etc.). Establish and maintain relationships with hiring department directors/managers. Foster professional relationships with support student teacher programs and University relations. Analyze candidate flow and talent acquisition metrics resulting in recommended actions. Uses management practices that promote teamwork and collaborative decision making among staff members.

SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT

Implement actions to drive continuous improvement to candidate flow in reference to both quality and quantity. Enforce procedures that drive continuous improvement to recruitment cycle time. Develop and enforce innovative recruitment methods to build talent pipelines for all positions.

ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Provides for communications related to the Recruiting and Sourcing function of Human Resources. Create and maintain open communication relationships with all department/hiring managers to continually improve on professional and timely candidate response proceses.

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Maintain active liaisons with college/university teacher preparation placement offices, professional associations and other recruiting resource organizations.

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Seeks, accepts, and responds to evaluative feedback from subordinates, peers, and supervisors. Cooperates with staff members in other departments to contribute to the effectiveness of the total district program. Exhibits personal leadership skills characterized by good judgment and logical thinking. Content Expert in knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws, employee recruitment strategies and procedures. Continually develop analytical skills to utilize data for more effective recruitment strategies.

MISCELLANEOUS

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
