What’s a typical day as a HR Payroll Coordinator? You’ll be:
- Process and support all wage garnishments
- Assist with processing, balancing, and transmitting payrolls to and from ADP payroll for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly disbursements
- Handle payroll processing activities including new hires, terminations, wage assignments, and various other payroll tasks
- Ensure automated timekeeping hours file is processed and balanced
- Calculate and create out-of-sequence pay entries for corrections
- Ensure accurate reporting of tax and GL processes and troubleshoot errors
- Interact with various departments for payroll-related matters
- Assist with payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits
- Create, track, and resolve service requests with third-party payroll providers
- Support training needs for incoming payroll staff
- Identify critical pay incoming tickets for emergency pays
- Address inquiries from ticket systems, employees, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies
- Stay informed about payroll and HR policies and procedures
- Adhere to applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Run employee pay detail reports for HR, legal, and compliance requests
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and coworkers
- Perform general clerical duties related to payroll
