So, what will the Junior Administrative Assistant at Terrestris do?

Big picture, The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is the official export credit agency of the United States. EXIM is an independent Executive Branch agency with a mission of supporting American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services. When private sector lenders are unable or unwilling to provide financing, EXIM fills in the gap for American businesses by equipping them with the financing tools necessary to compete for global sales. In doing so, the agency levels the playing field for U.S. goods and services going up against foreign competition in overseas markets, so that American companies can create more good-paying American jobs.

Specifically, you will provide administrative support services to EXIM.  You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive company success.

What does a typical day look like for the Junior Administrative Assistant?

You will:

  • Answer emails
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Arrange both domestic and international travel
  • Organize appointments by reading and routing correspondence and managing assignments
  • Manage calendars for department personnel by arranging meetings, conferences, and teleconferences
  • Complete requests by answering or referring inquiries
  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Provide historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems mainly in SharePoint
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Prepare printed material in support of key meetings

What qualifications do you look for?

You might be the candidate we're looking for if you have:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • A minimum of five years' experience of administrative and scheduling experience
  • Proficiency in writing and verbal communication
  • Experience in customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OneDrive, and SharePoint
