The Human Resources Coordinator is a key member of the Grand Prairie, TX Human Resources team and provides administrative support to HR functions in accordance with federal and state regulations. The HR Coordinator assists in facilitating HR processes and procedures and focuses on employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the benefit plan renewal process, including, but not limited to the creation and distribution of all Open Enrollment materials
  • Acts as a liaison between employees and employee benefits and other programs (e.g., health, 401(k), performance management, incentives, etc.) and answer employees' inquiries
  • Works directly with the Benefits Administration Platform Group to ensure a seamless open enrollment process
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate benefit meetings during open enrollment
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations, such as FMLA, ADA, Health Care Act and HIPPA
  • Administer and maintain FMLA/LOA documents
  • Assist with employee investigation processes
  • Assist with Good Manufacturing Process Audits
  • Verifies and process I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of human resources practices, policies, and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with all HR related information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Work both collaboratively with a team as well as autonomously
  • Bilingual Spanish

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience in human resources
  • At least two years related experience
