Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable CDL Driver to support our electrical services by transporting materials, equipment, and tools to job sites. The successful candidate will have a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in supporting our electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport electrical materials, equipment, and tools to various job sites.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Load and unload electrical supplies, such as cables, transformers, and circuit breakers, ensuring proper handling and securement.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with project managers and electricians to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
  • Maintain detailed records of deliveries, including delivery logs, mileage, and inventory of materials transported.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance needs or mechanical issues to the maintenance department.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the electrical or construction industry, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, traffic laws, and handling electrical equipment.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading heavy or bulky items.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve long hours and occasional overnight stays, depending on job site locations.
  • Requires sitting for extended periods and occasional heavy lifting.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and potentially challenging road conditions.
