Position Summary:

The is responsible for maintaining and improving integrated management systems that support ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and R2v3 certifications. This role involves leading internal audits, conducting job safety analyses, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and state regulations. The EHS Manager will drive employee engagement in safety programs, develop and maintain training for occupational health, safety, and environmental practices, and lead risk and hazard audits. Additionally, the EHS Manager will collaborate with HR on injury and property damage reports, manage hazard controls, and oversee environmental compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or a related field, along with experience in EHS audits, training, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve integrated Management Systems to support requirements for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and R2v3 certifications. Serve as the Lead Internal Auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and R2v3scheduling, coordinating, conducting, and developing countermeasures that meet Standard and Customer-Specific requirements. Conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA) on new or changing functions to ensure jobs adhere to all required safety procedures. Continuously evaluate and audit Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure employee adherence to policy. Drive daily employee engagement and involvement in safety programs, training, and one-point lessons. Ensure compliance with all OSHA-required programs and State permits, including tracking and reporting relevant information. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training programs for occupational health, safety, and the environment. Conduct and coordinate on-site risk/hazard audits and analyses, reporting observed issues. Coordinate and conduct safety meetings and one-point lesson communications. Lead and assist in the preparation and investigation of corrective actions to eliminate or minimize potential or existing hazards. Collaborate with HR to review injury and property damage reports and ensure compliance with the workers compensation program. Develop hazard controls and coordinate their implementation based on hazard analysis results. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures, recommending changes to eliminate workplace accidents. Direct or assist in the development of specialized education and training materials. Develop and conduct new-hire orientation for occupational health, safety, and environmental practices. Compile, analyze, interpret, and report accident, loss, and exposure statistical data. Maintain chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Coordinate annual hearing tests, scheduling compliance medical exams when necessary. Direct environmental compliance programs related to hazardous waste, air permitting, water pollution control, and community right-to-know programs. Incorporate essential occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements in all purchasing and control actions. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or an equivalent degree and/or experience preferred. Knowledge, training, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental fields, as well as applicable federal and state regulations and standards. Demonstrated ability to deliver hands-on health, safety, and environmental training. Experience with EHS audits, policies, and procedures. Ability to lead and manage by influence. Experience with team and individual coaching.
