The Admission Director plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission process for our residents, as well as maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the admission process from initial inquiry to resident move-in, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for residents and their families.

2. Conduct thorough assessments of potential residents to determine their eligibility for admission and ensure that their needs can be met by our facility.

3. Coordinate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and case managers, to gather necessary documentation and information for admission.

4. Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to develop individualized care plans for new residents, taking into account their medical, social, and emotional needs.

5. Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries from prospective residents, their families, and referral sources, providing information about our services and answering any questions they may have.

6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of admissions, discharges, and resident demographics, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

7. Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and reimbursement policies that may affect the admission process, and implement necessary updates to procedures and documentation.

8. Participate in marketing and outreach activities to promote the facility and attract new residents, including tours, presentations, and community events.

9. Collaborate with the finance department to verify insurance coverage and facilitate payment arrangements for residents, ensuring timely and accurate billing.

 

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

2. Experience in admissions management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

3. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements for skilled nursing facilities.

4. Must have  Personal Care License
