Job DescriptionJob Description:

Salary: $50-70 SUMMARYUnder general supervision of the Chief Program Officer and Vice President in a collaborative leadershiprole in the organization, the Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of theclinical aspect of the program. Directs clinical component and facilitates clinical/residential interface.Facilitates organization-wide quality improvement and program development. Plans and overseesclinical program initiatives and in collaboration with the Clinical team, participates in programdevelopment and administration as part of ensuring the integrity and success of clinical program andservices. The Clinical Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer to ensure that programdevelopment and administration of programs and services are meeting the needs of programparticipants. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Meet with each residential clinician regarding treatment planning and discharge planning.2. Verify ancillary appointments being kept.3. Verify all therapists’ weekly reports are in and accurate to include family members contacted;number of family members in family group; sessions completed by family therapist and co-therapists.4. Carries cell phone for “on call” coverage.5. Ensure referrals are made to outside therapist/psychiatrists, etc. and to continuing levels of careboth within our system and to other programs.6. Reviews and updates the recovery plan through written documentation on the Recovery PlanReview (weekly) at the clinical staffing.7. Communicates the client’s progress through record-keeping and verbal interaction with theFacility staff personnel and referral sources.8. Maintains professional rapport with the referral source as well as utilization review personnel.9. Keeps the Facility office staff appraised of pertinent interaction with clients.10. Attends all staffing’s, in-service trainings and meetings as required, including weekly clinicalstaffing and team meetings, as well as any additional meetings as requested by the supervisor.11. Works in cooperation with Administration, therapy staff and ancillary staff members to establishconsistent, therapeutic interventions to ensure optimum individual progress.12. Acts as a representative of the Facility to the community and educational institutions by requestof supervisor.13. Monitors work performance for performance improvement and quality assurance issues, i.e.peer reviews on client charts.14. Participates in performance improvement opportunities as requested.15. Maintains a working knowledge and complies with DHCS standards.16. Observes The Facility policy and procedure requirements as it pertains to personnel.17. Conforms to the philosophy and ethics of the Facility.18. Demonstrates the concepts of the philosophy through courteous and caring behavior toward allclients, staff and visitors.19. Facilitates weekly clinical supervision meeting with clinicians, resident advisors and psychiatrist20. Obtain weekly QA report and discuss with clinicians if there are concerns21. Create ways to inspire the entire staff i.e. fun at staff meetings; spend quality time with staffthat you don’t directly supervise22. Coordinate with VP one in-service per month for staff development of all staff23. Coordinates with VP and CEO to meet licensing requirements24. Intervenes and assists as needed clinically with clients’ therapists and assigned team, familiesand referral sources (crisis intervention, ATA risks, etc.)25. Obtain admission profile sheet for each admission from Program/Clinical Supervisor26. Assign clinician to case and give clinician admission profile sheet ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:1. Participates in Quality Improvement task groups (as assigned).2. Interface with assigned clients insurance, managed care companies, planning and concurrentreview.3. Ensures client records for assigned case load are comprehensive, complete, neat and meetlicensing standards.4. Provide supervisor with a weekly referral and QA report.5. Participates in alumni and referral source events pertinent to the facility.JOB REQUIREMENTS● Minimum of a Master’ (college degree preferred).● Minimum of one (5) year training/experience in addiction preferred● Demonstrated ability to cooperate with team members and work in collaborative team setting,flexible in accepting assignments that correspond with a varied work load.● Communication skills sufficient to assess clients and interpret information in terms of chemicaldependency.● Maintains current CPR and First Aid training.● Current TB Test or secured at time of hire.● Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth.● Valid unrestricted state driver's license. PHYSICAL DEMAND/WORK ENVIRONMENT● Physical Effort: Work activities require long periods of standing and sitting; independent bodymobility (stoop, bend, walk routinely to perform daily tasks; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.;12. Acts as a representative of the Facility to the community and educational institutions by requestof supervisor.13.
