Overview:
We are seeking a Payroll & HRIS Manager to join our Human Resources department in our Minneapolis office. This position manages all aspects of the payroll process, maintains the data integrity and operational efficiency of the HR system, and is responsible for the administration of the Profit-Sharing Plan. This position will lead the development, integration, and maintenance of the HR system, maximize technology, recommends updates to processes, and enhance data management efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Include:
•Administer and maintain UKG/UltiPro Payroll and oversee the preparation of semi-monthly payroll, ensuring proper payment of wages for multi-state employees ensuring withholdings (garnishments, benefits, taxes) are consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
•Manage and administer the HR system, including configuration, data integrity, and security settings ensuring that all personnel have appropriate access and functionality.
•Serve as the escalation point for payroll and HRIS related employee inquiries, providing technical support and guidance to the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator. Ensuring that the processing of all employee changes are completed accurately and timely, including hires, promotions, pay changes, direct deposits, terminations, etc.
•Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
•Create reports to download payroll information for use in various capacities. Work with Finance to ensure accurate records and payroll reporting.
•Review HR and Payroll processes to increase effectiveness and cross-functionality.
•Works with Fidelity on all 401K and loan administration.
•Responsible for all necessary financial information for the auditors in preparation of fiscal year-end audit.
•Ensures accuracy and completeness of all compliance reporting, including state and federal tax filings, EEO and DOL reporting.
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
•7+ years of payroll and HRIS management experience
•Experience driving operational efficiency in the payroll and HRIS operations, including implementing policies, practices and systems
Desired Qualifications:
•Candidate will be an organized, detail-oriented individual with experience leading continuous improvement initiatives in the payroll and HRIS areas
•Experience in profit-sharing administration
•A working knowledge of UKG/UltiPro is preferred
•Professional services industry experience preferred
