How you'll add value The goals of the Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer are to drive a dialogue enabling the company to reach informed decisions about compliance with Information Security regulations, standards and policy, as well as elevating and sustaining business performance. The successful candidate for this role is an individual who will build and execute sound processes and will become ingrained deeply into the business processes to drive success and enablement. This individual will own an Information Security function, encompassing IT and information security governance and education, regulatory and operational risk management and partnering with the business on any area where security-driven insights enable business performance. This is a significant role that contributes directly to Paycor’s success in a maturing, rigorous, professional and highly collaborative organization. This leader’s goals are to balance information security risk and benefit and to support the Board’s and company’s oversight of business priorities to achieve results. Critical to success in the role are a thoughtful and hands-on engagement with the business, ability to balance multiple considerations and to influence cross-functionally. Duties and Cor Responsibilities IT and Information Security Risk Management: Develop and execute programs for IT and cyber security risk management (policy, governance, education). This includes oversight of IT risk policies, and security education. Partner with IT Operations and Infrastructure partners to identify solutions and execute steps to address identified IT risks. Engage in ongoing dialogue at all levels and through multiple functions within Paycor to challenge the business to mitigate information security risk, and to integrate risk-based insights into the management of the business. Provide Executive Committee and Board reporting related to risk and compliance on a periodic basis. Represent Paycor’s Information Security Program to outside parties (clients, prospects, and partners) as needed and support collaboration with outside organizations – identify, evaluate, and address risks that may arise in the course of such relationships. Partner with other peer organizations to stay ahead of the threat curve, emerging industry trends, and technology advancements addressing platform vulnerabilities. Lead the Information Security team and own: Detection & Monitoring - collect and store logs, detect intrusions, identify potential areas of security improvement or vulnerabilities, and engage in threat hunting across the enterprise and Paycor’s product. ITGC security related controls. Enterprise Security - define security profiles and acceptable operational boundaries for common enterprise assets, including laptops, servers, and SaaS services (Office 365, Salesforce.com, etc). Analysis & Response - collect and analyze threat intelligence to prepare the rest of Paycor’s security team against emerging threats and to optimally respond to security incidents. Application Security - provide assurance of the health of Paycor’s software through management of vulnerabilities discovered in Paycor’s products and internal software solutions (i.e. Salesforce.com). Security Architecture - provide architectural guidance and consultation to the business in context of the secure design, implementation, and operation of complex systems. Develop, implement, sustain and evolve a long-term roadmap for cybersecurity operations at Paycor. Review and refine existing key security processes, including threat hunting, vulnerability management, log ingestion, security monitoring, threat analysis, and Paycor’s security incident response lifecycle. Brief executive leadership on emerging security threats and develop proposals on how to address these threats through best-in-class security controls and processes. Establish policy and manage both the process and the teams responsible for the above substantive areas. Partner with Enterprise Risk and Legal teams to drive SOC, business continuity and data privacy policy, and controls across Paycor. Manage outside vendors and budget supporting areas of responsibility. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred 12+ years of experience in security Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization Software background in the banking, finance, payments and/or HCM industries is highly preferred Deep knowledge and application of risk assessment methodologies CISSP, CSSLP, and CISM certifications desired Ability to react to high pressure dynamic environments Ability to train risk concepts to all areas of the business Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and allocation for security programs Strategic thinking, effective analysis of data, and the ability to disaggregate business plans into component risks  Paycor Total Rewards We are proud to provide best-in-class benefits delivering a personal and professional experience that meets you where it matters most - the well-being of you and your loved ones.
