Job Description
The Role

Cometeer is seeking a Director to oversee and expand its Field Sales operations. As the Director, you will be responsible for setting and implementing the high level strategy and execution to grow our Field Sales channel, including opening new Coffee Sampling Stations, optimizing sales processes, and driving daily performance improvements. You will qualify and select new locations for growth, primarily including luxury shopping malls, and interview, hire, and train the regional managers and supervisors responsible for each new location.

What you'll do:

  • Have full P&L ownership of Cometeer's Field sales channel, with 50+ employees across a number of activations driving significant new customer acquisition growth
  • Design and implement our high level strategy for sustainability growing our Field operation, including selecting new sites, setting ambitious sales targets, and supporting our regional managers and site supervisors responsible for daily operations
  • Create new & engaging customer experiences in our Coffee Sampling Stations, including new recipes, sales guides, offers, and signup flows.
  • Work directly with our marketing team to achieve target customer unit economics, including customer acquisition costs and lifetime value
What we are looking for:
  • An experienced sales leader who has grown regional and nationwide sales program for insurgent consumer brands
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and operating experiential marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills with experience coordinating logistics, setup, and staffing for mobile or temporary retail installations.
  • Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training, and leading a mobile sales team, with a focus on customer engagement and product demonstration.
  • Creative thinking to design engaging consumer interactions at sampling stations, driving both immediate sales and long-term customer acquisition.
  • Capacity to analyze site performance data to make evidence-based decisions on location selection, staffing levels, and product mix to optimize sales performance.
  • Understanding of foodservice operations, including relevant certifications (ServSafe or NRFSP)
Required:
  • Direct experience with in-field promotional marketing and sales, particularly within the coffee or related premium food and beverage sectors.
  • Hands-on leadership experience with the ability to directly manage field teams, including scheduling, performance monitoring, and providing on-the-spot training.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards applicable to food and beverage sampling, including local regulations and best practices for public health safety.
  • Ability to work closely with shopping mall management and other retail partners to negotiate space, adhere to site requirements, and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong budget management skills, with experience managing the financial performance of field sales operations, including P&L responsibility for multiple locations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying the Cometeer brand message and product benefits to a diverse audience.
  • Willingness to adapt and respond quickly to feedback and changing market conditions to continuously improve field sales strategies and operations.
