Bernardaud is a French family business renowned in the tableware and decorative arts industry. The company supplies the greatest restaurants and hotels in all capitals of the world and its products are displayed in the most prestigious outlets and stores.

Due to rapid growth, Bernardaud is actively looking for an accomplished Sales Director to develop its business in the Western region of the United States. Based in California or Nevada the Sales Director will be responsible for developing sales in his/her geographical area and for monitoring his/her client portfolio.

Missions :

  • Manage and develop the Brand's sales in the area ;
  • Ensure the implementation of the sales strategy for each type of customer ;
  • Set objectives and build a development plan for each territory ;
  • Identify growth areas and prospects for new market contacts ;
  • Develop and maintain the existing customers portfolio ;
  • Identify and analyze customers' needs, propose advices and adapted offers ;
  • Negotiate contracts ;
  • Monitor account opening projects and clients' relationships ;
  • Prepare analytical sales reports ;
  • Monitor the market and analyze trends ;
  • Work with Bernardaud's sales team on cross-cutting projects ;
  • Represent the Brand at trade shows.

Functionally, the Sales Director maintains close relationships with :

the Commercial Director ;

other Regional Sales Directors ;

the Sales Administration Department ;

the Creative Teams.

Profile :

Graduate business education ;

Ability to listen, analyze and serve a demanding clientele ;

Self-sufficient, dynamic and results-oriented candidate ;

Curious, proactive, with a strong sense of initiative ;

Excellent presentation and good interpersonal skills ;

Field experience (regular travels).

At least 2/3 years of successful experiences in sales management in one of the following sectors: tableware, luxury hotels, restaurants, interior design, wines and spirits, etc. English (bilingual level), spoken and written.

Based in New York, with frequent travel to California, Nevada, and possibly internationally. Fluency in French is preferred due to regular communication with headquarters in France. The position involves extensive travel. Remuneration will be based on experience.
