SPYSCAPE is seeking an Account Director to build HQ’s Special Events and Groups lines of business and meet revenue targets by prospecting, qualifying opportunities, generating and actioning leads, closing deals and cultivating lasting business partnerships.

Responsibilities: The Account Director will plan, coordinate, and execute new business efforts, pertaining to the company’s Special Events and Groups lines of business as follows:
• Hunting: Prospecting meeting & event clients and qualifying events and groups opportunities
• Outreach: Developing and executing campaigns in CRM and calling on prospects directly (via phone & email)
• Actioning leads driven by said outreach and inbound customer inquiries
• Close deal: Identify needs, align solutions, submit quotes & proposals, and convert to contracts
• Document all correspondence and progress in CRM
• Provide customer support & cultivating lasting client relationships
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure smooth execution of Events, Team Building activities & Group visits
• Gather client feedback and recommend improvements for an optimal customer experience
• Actively reach out to schools, corporations, camps, tour guides, and other organizations to sell Group visits
• Cross-selling when appropriate, including ad flights in SPYSCAPE Podcast Network’s highly ranked series, brand takeovers of SPYSCAPE HQ, and booking SPYEX experts for training, speaking and consulting engagements

The Account Director’s Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related field, in addition to:
• 2+ Years - Sales / Business development experience
• 2+ Years - Usage of CRM (preferably HubSpot)
• Demonstrated ability to hunt / unearth new prospects & leads, close sales and generate repeat business • Ability to articulate growth using business metrics and ROI
• 2+ Years - Experience in Meetings & Events, and/or Hospitality & Tourism (ideally in a sales or sales support role)
• Existing network of buyer contacts in the meeting & events industry
• Understanding of Google Workspace applications
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and execute tasks
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Personable and engaging personality, with confidence and comfort in networking and building rapport with clients and vendor partners

Location: This is a hybrid position. Account Director may be based anywhere in the northeast tri-state area, and will be required to work onsite at SPYSCAPE HQ in NYC when necessary.
