Area Sales Manager

responsible for the oversight, management, and development of assigned sales organization, consisting of Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and Account Representatives. Responsibilities Annual development of a 12-month sales budget by individual sales person and accounts which at a minimum, achieves the company growth expectations. Monthly submission, by salesperson and in total, a 3-month sales forecast that reflects the most current estimate for sales. Develop & execute an annual sales plan that will ensure achieving the annual sales budget and support the company's strategic initiatives. Lead assigned strategic growth initiatives, and develop programs to support initiative budget. Regularly measure and review the performance of Direct Reports and as needed, implement performance plans for improvement Annually facilitate sales team competency evaluations, utilizing the Performance Attribute template. Develop & implement strategies to address deficiencies. Manage supplier relations, including:

Assist salesman with opportunity management and cost negotiations. Conduct supplier business reviews. Coordinate sales efforts required for supplier programs.

Develop necessary content and manage agenda for monthly sales meetings, dashboard reviews and all other sales related events. As needed participate or lead in the recruitment of sales personnel, developing core competency checklist for new hires. Regularly Engage sales management team and assigned salesman to

Make joint call to broaden customer relationships at key customers. Oversee agreement negotiations within key customer base to drive increase in share. Interdepartmental coordination including A/R dispute resolution.

Engage and Support Director of Automation and, as needed, participate in activities associated with associated Product Specialists.
