ErgonArmor does this through a comprehensive product line of polymer linings, thermoplastic membranes, heat and chemical resistant tile, brick mortars and grouts.ErgonArmor seeks an ambitious, experienced, results-driven, Area Sales Manager for the Northeast region. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for leading our quest in becoming the favored and preferred supplier of complex chemical, thermal and abrasion resistant solutions to our valued customers located in the region. They will accomplish this by guiding and encouraging our customers in selecting the appropriate ErgonArmor systems to protect their structures located in harsh and challenging environments found in the pulp and paper, chemical processing and industrial manufacturing markets. The Area Sales Manager leads and supports a network of independent sales agents and key distributors and will also deliver personal sales contributions. The customer targets include facility owners and operators, applicators and installers, EPC and GC companies, consulting engineers, architects, and other specifying entities. The Area Sales Manager must understand and be able to lead their team in how to uncover and diagnose customer needs at each level of the contract chain in the sales cycle and how to prepare and present an effective, solution-centered, value proposition and close the sales opportunity.Specific Area Sales Manager DutiesIdentify, engage and close new construction and maintenance and repair opportunities within all focus markets the business has selected.Maintain and manage information within a CRM platform, on the customers, opportunities, and activities.Work with the North America Sales Manager, North America Business Development Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing to develop regional strategies and tactics.Promote a positive image and develop long-term relations with all customer stakeholders.Manage sales support activities in assigned region including, but not limited to, field technical support, credit and collection efforts, contract negotiations and inventory forecasting.Resolve customer complaints following company policies and procedures and by investigating problems, seeking cause and solutions through the technical group, and presenting solutions to the customer.Travel and overnight stays as required throughout the territory, typically upwards of 60%. Candidates being considered will possess the following qualifications. Technical sales experience in protective coatings and linings applications or chemical resistant masonry / brick lining construction. Sales in industrial related construction products will also be considered. Concrete construction, steel tank and equipment fabrication experience a plus.Knowledge of and experience with key focus industries, companies and facilities within the region specifically facilities and contractors working in the pulp and paper, chemical processing and industrial manufacturing markets.Domicile within the region required. Strong organizational and project management skills.Solid communication skills; writing, presentation software, public speaking and one on one negotiations.Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM programs.Strong people skills - communicate effectively with all customer levels (business owners, purchasing personnel, engineers, product users) and internally at all levels.Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management or marketing or equivalent work experience.An offer of employment is contingent upon pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record review.In addition to a competitive salary and incentive plan, benefits include medical and dental insurance, 401K, personal vehicle use reimbursement, laptop, cell phone, and expense account.Qualified applicants should send a resume and cover letter in one PDF to Ergonarmor.jobs@ergon.com.
