Sales Engineer

In this role, you will work to introduce Google Cloud to our customers. As a certified GCP Partner, we deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage our engineering know-how and Google Cloud Platform. You will help prospective customers, existing customers, and partners develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, and problem solve any potential technical roadblocks.
At SZNS Solutions, we want to build a differentiated Sales Engineering force. A core business unit that is directly responsible for revenue generation, made up of individuals who love tinkering as engineers but also love closing deals as sales leaders. We have a unique compensation structure that provides baseline bonuses based on overall company performance, in addition to commission-based bonuses for having impact on a deal close.
Responsibilities
Inspire customers and peers to solve difficult problems with ambitious and novel technical solutions.
Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Manage the technical relationship with Google sales teams, customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments, and travel to customer sites, conferences and other related events as needed.
Recommend and formally present integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application development required to complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud, positioning SZNS Solutions as a highly technically competent GCP Partner.
Work side-by-side with the SZNS Solutions engineering team to scope deployment engagements and define the criteria for project kickoff, implementation, and final hand off.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
2+ years of experience as a sales engineer in a cloud computing or B2B software company in a customer-facing role, professional services, and sales engineering setting.
Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field, or demonstrated technical development expertise and experience with cloud computing technologies (computing, storage, networking, app development, APIs)
Preferred qualifications
Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.
At least 1 Professional GCP Certification (Cloud Developer, DevOps Engineer, Network Engineer, Data Engineer, ML Engineer, etc.)
Tinkerer at heart, who loves to explore with new technologies and build
Great customer relationship skills and understanding core business requirements
Experience with helping customers optimize their existing technical infrastructure
Ability to define a technical development roadmap and generate statement of works (SOWs) for professional services engagements
