Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking an Executive Chef for our client in the San Gabriel Valley of California. 

This an excellent position for a hands-on professional who is customer-service driven our Ideal candidate will have previous food service management / culinary experience and excellent client communication skills. Reporting to the Dir Of Operations the Executive Chef will have oversight of the small team of Sodexo employees. Position is responsible for directing all contract management service operations and client relations of the café.

The best qualified Executive Chef will have strong, hands-on, kitchen experience and will be accessible to staff while being on the floor during services times, showing strong leadership ability. We are looking for someone with great communication and training skills.

 

We are looking for candidates who will:

 

Manage the daily food production including production planning and controls

Ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality

Manage food costing, controls and compliance

Develop menus and manage inventory

Have the ability and willingness to develop and train front-line employees

Be detail-oriented and accountable

 

The ideal candidate has:

 

A culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends

Leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies

What We Offer:
Sodexo offers fair and equitable compensation, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
